At Brynhyfryd Primary School, we aim to:

In order to support pupils' evaluative thoughts about their adventure to embodying the 4 purposes, school staff use a 'Boat Building Book' with each pupil in order to help structure their progress.

Pupils' Boat Building Books help them to:

-put learning in the context of the entire curriculum offer they experience

-provide knowledge organisers for key information that we expect pupils to learn by the time they leave BPS

-focus pupils on aspirations, personal learning goals and interests, passion projects and links to the wider world of work

-form the basis of formative assessment discussions between staff and pupils, guide learning objectives and co-constructed success criteria
