Dear all,

it is my privilege to be serving Brynhyfryd Primary School to improve even through these challenging times. I would like to reassure all children, families and staff that I am here to support YOU! The school's motto has never been more appropriate, as since the pandemic and with all sorts of new curriculum opportunities, families and staff look to progress children's learning to...

Our children have the right to an education of the highest quality possible. We want every child to experience personal achievement, and progress in their learning is at its best when we work as families and staff in partnership. I am proud to be part of the work our school community is doing to ensure this. There are challenges for our children, families and staff to overcome, but this does not stop our school community working TOGETHER!

I have been witness to so many skilful, organised and creative ways in which everyone has pulled together since the pandemic, and research shows that this is most effective when everyone values others' wellbeing by being supportive and encouraging.

The strongest foundation in learning for any child is good welfare and wellbeing, and so our duty of care must always be to ensure children's welfare and wellbeing first and foremost. If any members of our school community are struggling with this, then I strongly urge you to contact myself, a member of our staff or a friend in the school community in order for us to help or signpost you to support.
